April 2015 – CEO Update

On April 21, 2015, RPR released version 1.39 marking RPR’s 40th major release since 2010. In this release, RPR expanded its market level value for REALTORS® in a number of key areas, including newly enhanced navigation for both the RPR Residential and Commercial Platforms. The new design look ensures MLS and Broker branding is always displayed, even while scrolling the page. At the same time it keeps links for search and reports easily accessible. This release also introduced updated ESRI demographic and Consumer Tapestry data for both RPR Commercial and Economic Area Reports.

RPR Mobile™ has been enhanced to include RPR’s latest report—the single page property flyer. This flyer is intended for agents who want a concise marketing piece for any residential property. Walkability Scores were also added to the Location Details section of a property found using RPR Mobile™. This latest version of RPR Mobile™ will be available via the Apple and Google play store within the next week.

RPR Mobile™ Delivers High Value to REALTORS®

As RPR Mobile™ sees increased adoption among REALTORS®, we continue to receive positive feedback and high value use cases for the app. For example, Sean Moore, a REALTOR® in Columbia, MO, recently explained how he uses many different lead generation services to help identify prospects. By using RPR Mobile™, he is able to quickly send the prospect a complete preview of the property including estimated value, historical information and neighborhood data all in one branded report. Sean shared that “the worst email you can send is one stating, ‘I’ll get back to you.’ I pull over to the side of the road, fire off a report in a minute, and check it off the to-do list. We spend a lot of time adding appointments and to-dos to our calendars, but if we could just knock things off our calendars, we’d be better off.”

Similarly Kevin Tomlinson, a REALTOR® in Miami Florida, looks to optimize the time it takes for him to answer property related questions. Kevin says, “I can’t impress upon you enough how important time is. If a client needs something on the fly, a tax roll or a picture, I can get it off to them with RPR Mobile™. Having the ability to get the information immediately is huge, because, in reality, five minutes later may be too late.”

RPR Executes Licensed Partnerships with The Gulf Coast MLS

RPR is pleased to announce the execution of a licensed contract with The Gulf Coast Multiple Listing Service (GCMLS) to allow integration of their MLS data for their REALTOR® members.

“Our REALTOR® members are very excited about our partnership with RPR” according to Chad Fincher, Executive Director of the GCMLS. “They are looking forward to the abundant amount of resources and professional tools that a site like RPR can provide. This type of online information is vital for our membership to deliver accurate data that their customers expect in today’s fast paced real estate market. RPR raises the bar when it comes to the level of real estate service our members can offer!”

RPR Launches Integrated Data in Metropolitan Indianapolis Board of REALTORS® (MIBOR)

MIBOR2RPR is pleased to have implemented a launch of licensed MLS data integrated within the RPR Platform with the Metropolitan Indianapolis Board of REALTORS® (MIBOR). MIBOR operates a Broker Listing Cooperative (BLC) serving over 6,000 members across Central Indiana.

RPR launch activities included training and communication support for the MIBORS’s Association and BLC staff. MIBOR chose to launch the RPR Platform integrated within the BLC system utilizing RPR “Deep Links” creating a seamless experience for their members.

2015 MIBOR President Kathy Hall says, “As you know, our BLC and membership is just now implementing the full version of RPR and from my use so far, I’m pleased with the easy of use, the branding capabilities, and features of the affiliated services partners that can be branded to the company and agent setup. It’s another ‘tool in the toolbox’ for our members to service their clients in this robust market.  We’ve always had a good database here locally for tax records, disclosures, and the like, but RPR does add another data analytic set as another comparison to the ever moving needle in market.”  Kathy continues to say, “I’m also happy to see it be REALTOR® centric and hope it continues to be that way.  It’s been funded by the membership, and it should remain a benefit of membership, and always keeping the REALTOR® at the core and center of the data delivery to the client.  Real estate is local in nature, and the local REALTOR® should be positioned as the center of the transaction by our Association.”

Additionally, RPR’s Broker Services Team provided Broker Tool Sets support, training and communications to 43 brokerage firms in the MIBOR market area representing 1,680 REALTORS®. Large firms registering for Broker Tool Sets included FC Tucker, Berkshire Hathaway Home Services Indiana Realty, Century 21 Scheetz and Re/MAX Ability Plus.

MIBOR members serve homebuyers and sellers in Boone, Brown, Hamilton, Hancock, Hendricks, Johnson, Marion, Montgomery, Morgan and Shelby counties of Indiana.

REALTORS® Legislative Meetings and Trade Expo

RPR is pleased to be participating in the NAR REALTOR® Legislative Meetings and Trade Expo in Washington D.C. from May 11-16, 2015. RPR staff will be providing progress reports to NAR Leadership as well as specific product updates of RPR’S newest features and benefits of the RPR Platform for Brokers, Commercial practitioners, Agents, MLSs and Associations. Highlights will include presentations on the RPR Mobile™, RPR View™ (RPR’s Datashare Platform) and RPR’s Legislative Resources including Federal and Local Economic Area Reports which support Federal Political Coordinators (FPCs) and State and Local Association staff.

Additionally, RPR staff will be available at the RPR Booth (#1708) in the NAR Pavilion during the Trade Expo. We hope to see you there.
