UpstreamRE, LLC Announces Five Upstream Pilot Markets

At the NAR Midyear Legislative Meetings in Washington D.C., representatives from UpstreamRE, LLC announced five markets that have been selected for the Phase One Pilot Market process targeted for Q3 2016.

In April 2016, the UpstreamRE Pilot Plan Work Group unanimously selected five markets comprised of 12 brokerage companies and five MLSs. Communications were sent by RPR, with the request that each of the MLSs and brokerage companies confirm their desire to participate in Phase One, and to set a schedule for follow-up meetings with RPR Operations and Product Development staff.

Following this confirmation, RPR staff held targeted webinars with MLS staff to communicate features of the Upstream Application Program Interface (API) and to answer questions regarding resource and support requirements for Alpha and Beta testing. Additionally, in-market meetings were scheduled with RPR’s Business Analysis team and Pilot MLS staff, in order to complete an assessment of the MLS business rules.

RPR also contacted each Pilot brokerage firm for confirmation of their participation in Alpha/Beta testing, as well as completing a detailed company profile to begin a process of interacting with RPR’s Product and Broker Services team.

The five markets that have confirmed participation in the Phase One Pilot are currently comprised of 5 MLSs and 12 brokerage companies, including:

  • MLS Listings: Sunnyvale, CA

REALTOR® Spotlight

greggThis month’s REALTOR® spotlight comes from Sarasota, Florida where RPR found Gregg Center, a REALTOR® with Premier Sotheby’s International Realty. Gregg recently found himself in a bind when connecting with prospects at his open house. His go-to real estate app was not loading properly. Remembering that he recently installed RPR mobile on his phone, Gregg pulled up the app and headed for his prospects as they were leaving the property. He then began asking a series of qualifying questions, leading him to learn what the potential buyers requirements were in the area. Meanwhile the RPR app returned search results within seconds, instantly displaying every home for sale within a half mile radius of where they were standing, which also happened to include a listing directly across the street.

“I couldn’t believe I missed the house across the street,” remarks Gregg. The sign was poorly placed and I didn’t see it on my MLS. But there it was, right there on RPR,” said Gregg. He continued talking with the prospects, sharing that there was a home across the street they might be interested in. It was not open, but he could show them the property the next day. At the same time showing them details of the home directly from his phone.

Read Gregg’s full story and see how he turned this opportunity into a win!
