RPR Achieves Five-Year Milestones

November 2014 marks the 5-year anniversary of the formation of Realtors Property Resource, LLC. In that time, the RPR Platform has created valuable tools, features and reports for Agents, Brokers, Appraisers, Commercial practitioners, Associations and MLSs. Today, over 600 MLSs offer integrated local and regionally licensed listing data to 861,000 REALTORS® representing over 900 local Associations.

RPR Achieves Five-Year MilestonesIn 2014, RPR has expanded its NAR REALTOR® member benefit through the release of a number of new products and enhancements. Milestones for 2014 included the RPR Dashboard for MLSs and Associations, Economic Area Reports for use with federal, state and local elected officials, and the recent release of RPR Mobile™ for iPhone and Android smartphones.

RPR would like to thank the hundreds of volunteers who have participated in RPR’s boards, councils, task forces and work groups over the last five years. The efforts of these agents, brokers, appraisers, and association and MLS staff members have assisted RPR in defining the products and data sets offering the highest value to NAR’s one million+ REALTORS®. We look forward to many more new product offerings during the next five years as your REALTOR® owned technology platform.

RPR releases version 1.35

RPR released its 36th major release with version 1.35 on November 20, 2014. The enhancements to the RPR Platform include new features for both RPR Mobile™ and website functionality. RPR Mobile™ now supports the ability for REALTORS® to search for schools within an area or a school district, then find properties within that school’s attendance zone, or view a school’s Great Schools rating, see the phone number of the school, and even press the address of the school to access your GPS for directions.

This release also includes a fresh new homepage layout for the RPR website, that includes recently searched properties, reports, searches and notes. REALTORS® will also see a new enhancement to the Comps Analysis where they can now select which property photo to feature for each comparable property.

RPR Commercial News

RPR Commercial continues to make news following the 2014 REALTORS® Conference and Expo in New Orleans. Anand Patel, a REALTOR® from Tampa, FL shared this thought in the REALTORS® Conference LIVE “Must See” article, “Besides the valuable face-to-face time with online contacts and spending time with vendors in the Expo Hall, as soon as I’m back at the office I’m looking forward to using the commercial real estate report features of RPR I learned about during the conference.” In NAR’s commercial blog, The Source, it was reiterated that “RPR Commercial delivers a depth of trade area data, customer analysis and population trends reliably and intuitively enabling the commercial REALTOR® as a pathfinder for clients.”

In Q4 2014, the following CIEs/CMLSs launched the RPR Commercial Application with active listing integration:

  • Knoxville Area Association of REALTORS® CIE – Knoxville, TN (Catylist)
  • Naples Area Board of REALTORS® – Naples, FL (Commercial Listings CoreLogic MLS)

REALTORS® Conference and Expo Wrap Up

RPR participated in the 2014 REALTORS® Conference and Expo in New Orleans and enjoyed numerous opportunities to work with REALTORS® on how to use RPR in their businesses.

REALTORS® Conference and Expo Wrap UpThis year, RPR hosted three User Group sessions, one for Agents titled “impress clients and close deals…anytime, anywhere,” another for Brokers focused on how to use RPR to create business value for your brokerage, and a Commercial session designed to show how RPR Commercial validates a practitioners commercial expertise.

While RPR staff also offered updates to various committees, forums and panels including NAR’s Global Business Alliances Committee and Environmental Summit, the highest interest was in RPR Mobile™. RPR staff was able to demonstrate the “anytime anywhere value” throughout the Convention and thousands of downloads were initiated during the week.


Our latest MyRPR story comes from Houston, Texas where we find James and Penny Brockway. The husband and wife team specialize in the Houston area where Penny prides herself on finding buyers their dream home and staging listings for their sellers, while James specializes in the contractual and financial side of the transaction. See how the Brockway’s used RPR and the Realtor Valuation Model® (RVM®) to price their recent listing perfectly—maximizing their client’s sale price.
