CEO Update – September 2016

RPR Expands AMP™ Technology Partnerships

In May 2016, RPR announced partnerships with some of the industry’s leading technology vendors who would be working with RPR to develop front end products to interact with RPR’s Advanced Multi-List Platform (AMP).

On September 15, 2016, Stratus Data Systems, Inc. announced its collaboration with AMP.  Stratus plans to utilize a mobile first – responsive web design (RWD) which will automatically adapt the layout to the user’s viewing environment. Combining the AMP parcel-centric database with Stratus’s consumer oriented collaboration will provide an effective communication platform for REALTORS® to use with clients and customers.

“We are excited to be working with RPR, delivering the next generation of MLS solutions,” said Carlos Grass, Chief Executive Officer, Stratus Data Systems. “Our latest release of cloud based Stratus powered by AMP is the initial step in democratizing MLS technology.”

Also on September 21, 2016, Solid Earth, Inc. announced that it would be integrating its Spring product with RPR AMP for its 78,000 subscribers.  Spring allows an MLS to swap out its backend system while retaining the user experience for a more stable operating environment. Spring also allows members to plug into the Application Program Interface (API) and create their own user interfaces. Moreover, distributing the data through the API provides a highly granular look at who is using what data and when, for accounting purposes.

“Since Spring was built on an API, rewiring part of the product to pull data from the AMP API versus the Spring API is easy” said Solid Earth Co-Founder and CEO Matt Fowler. “For Spring customers, the user interface fits on the Spring API and will fit on the AMP API as well. This will allow Spring customers to sustain the user experience consumers and agents have become accustomed to while allowing the MLS to upgrade their backend technology or change providers”.  For more information from Matt Fowler of Solid Earth and AMP please reference the recent AMP Case Study Series interview with Matt.

Stratus Data Systems and Solid Earth join Lone Wolf Real Estate Technologies (WOLFConnect™), W&R Studios (Cloud MLX), Robotik Software and Rapattoni Corporation as leading real estate technology companies working with RPR to develop “open-architecture” features and products for the RPR AMP database.

New Commercial Mode in RPR Mobile™

commercial-masterNow when REALTORS® login to the RPR app on a phone or tablet, they will have a choice of which mode they would like to access: Residential or Commercial. The new Commercial Mode greatly enhances a REALTOR’S® ability to conduct on-location property searches, by delivering instant access to commercial property characteristics, ownership data, transaction history, legal descriptions, tax information, pre-foreclosure and foreclosure activity, street and satellite views, and much more. Commercial Mode also delivers the already popular Commercial reporting tools. For example, in seconds an RPR user can now create, view and email a Trade Area report directly from their mobile device that highlights consumer spending habits, demographic and economic statistics for the current state of the market, and projections for the future.
