The Big Story
RPR closed out Q1 2011 with the execution of a Data Licensed Contract with Metropolitan Regional Information Systems (MRIS), the nation’s largest regional MLS. After successful negotiations the MRIS Board of Directors voted in March to bring RPR to the REALTOR® members of its 46,000 subscribers. With the recent additions of both MRIS, and CRMLS in California, RPR added a total of 110,000 REALTORS® to RPR’s national coverage in Q1 through contracts with 64 MLSs, and we have many additional contracts in progress. These agreements build upon our partner MLS’s record of adding high value tools and opportunities for brokers and agents by creating member benefit.
New Training Features
Starting April 1, 2011, we changed the way we handle our training seminars. Based upon user feedback and additional program flexibility, beginning April 1, we started using GoToTraining, which will make the learning experience for RPR users more interactive and, therefore, more useful for their real-world applications. In addition, we’re overhauling our training schedule, which will make it easier for our members to find and register for the classes they want and need.
The Realtors Valuation Model (RVM) was initially launched in October, 2010. Since that time, it has undergone continued refinement and development. With it, RPR seeks to develop a set of analytics which deliver the highest accuracy of any product available in the existing AVM markets, one that is owned and operated by the members of the National Association of REALTORS®, and one that incorporates their skills through their listing content, reflecting the expertise of their work with clients and customers, on a fully-authorized basis.
RPR is pleased to report that the RVM is being well received by the financial institutions with which we interact and we are extremely optimistic about the role it will play in RPR’s future, as well as the future of the real estate industry. RPR participated in the RETechSouth event just outside of Atlanta, Georgia. In this, its fourth year, RETSO has become one of the Real Estate Industry’s foremost forums for the discussion of new technologies and opportunities in our field. While there, RPR had the opportunity to connect with hundreds of REALTORS® and educate them about new RPR’s features and how to create business value with RPR tools.
On The Horizon
Today RPR will be at Technopalooza at ARMLS in Phoenix. RPR’s Nikki Baldwin will be among more than 70 RE technology presenters and will be on hand to provide training to our REALTOR® members in attendance.
