RPR Appraiser Tools Begin Beta Testing New Sales Comparison Analysis and Valuation Workbook Features

RPR has released a new set of features and reports into Beta testing as part of the RPR Appraiser Tools development process. Under the direction of the RPR Appraiser Tools Task Force comprised of members of NAR’s Real Property Valuation Committee, RPR has developed the Sales Comparison Analysis feature for Appraisers, and Valuation Workbook currently in Beta testing.

The design of these new RPR Application features is to leverage RPR’s vast database of public property information and ownership records, MLS content, geographic, and other data, in order to create:

Refined search for comparable sales and competitive listings, using expanded characteristics and map information

Comp and listing information adjustment and refinement capabilities, to follow the process required by appraisal forms

Formatted market trend information, including listing, sale, and default metrics, to facilitate the creation of neighborhood commentary and market conditions reporting

The Sales Comparison Analysis feature for Appraisers is a natural extension of RPR’s core competencies in data compilation and trend analysis, with a special focus on the unique business needs of the Appraiser members of NAR. RPR expects to Beta test through the summer with targeted release of the features to all members in Q4 2013.

RPR Begins Development on RPR Association Dashboard and Legislative Resources

With the release of the RPR Appraiser Tools into Beta, the RPR Product team will begin work on the RPR Association Dashboard. RPR has been working with a Task Force of Association volunteers on the design of valuable tools for Associations, available through a custom dashboard for Association staff and leadership, including:

Member/Users Statistics

Market Analytics/Data Tool

Media Resources for Association Leadership

Training and Communication

In tandem with the Association Dashboard development, RPR is forming a Legislative Resources Task Force comprised of State and Local Association Governmental Affairs staff and volunteer leadership in order to create two high value reports for REALTORS® and Association staff:

Federal Political Coordinator (FPC) Congressional District Report – Designed to support FPCs, and State and Local Association leadership communication with in-district meetings on government policy and planning with data-driven analysis

Custom Area Trade Report – A custom report designed for use with Economic Development Corporations and Local Municipalities. Supports Local and State Association leadership with meetings on economic growth and planning for county and regional economic analysis.

Version 1.23 of the RPR Application

Yesterday RPR released version 1.23 of the Realtors Property Resource application which includes a number of refinements, such as enhanced report covers, a map pin that shows multiple properties in one location, a way to clear your advanced search parameters, and behind-the-scenes data improvements. For more on these updates, view the RPR release notes.

Look for RPR at the upcoming NAR Mid-Year meeting and Expo in Washington D.C. on May 14-18, 2013 RPR staff will be available at booth #1800 in the NAR kiosk. We look forward to seeing you there.

Sincerely,

RPR is pleased to announce that it will soon begin offering integrated MLS data to members of the New Jersey Multiple Listing Service in the RPR Application. The New Jersey Multiple Listing Service voted at a recent meeting to execute RPR’s Data Content License Agreement, which will allow RPR to begin offering all its REALTOR® members the full features and functionality of RPR’s member benefit application.

“RPR’s core mission is to provide a one stop application that works in cooperation with local and regional MLS systems, assisting REALTORS® with greater access to property information than today’s technology empowered consumers. RPR’s high value reports are designed for REALTORS® to assist their clients and customers in making the most informed decisions about buying and selling property,” says RPR CEO Dale Ross. “RPR is very pleased to have NJMLS’s partnership and appreciates their support of RPR’s value to their members. We would like to thank NJMLS’s Executive Director Michelle Perino, and 2013 President Nelson Chen for their leadership and support.”

RPR has been available to all REALTORS® since November 2012. While RPR offers a number of beneficial features as an NAR member benefit, the highest value to agents and brokers occurs when localized MLS data is licensed for RPR’s search, mapping, trending, graphs, and menu of valuable reports, such as Comps Analysis and Market Reports.

“The NJMLS is pleased to offer our members the added benefits of RPR, says Nelson Chen, President at President at New Jersey Multiple Listing. “We offer industry leading technology and look forward to integrating RPR into our system.”

Last night RPR released version 1.22 of the RPR application. This build delivers beta functionality for the Sales Comparison Analysis for Appraisers. The release also included enhancements to the Sales and Financial History chart, along with the addition of user-entered notes in reports, and other improvements.

Overview of the Beta Sales Comparison Analysis for Appraisers

With the release of functionality for Sales Comparison Analysis feature, RPR will begin beta testing at the end of this month. The design of these features were created in cooperation with RPR’s Appraiser Tools Task Force. The beta test group will be comprised of Task Force members, as well as members of NAR’s Real Property Valuation Committee, and the Florida REALTORS® Appraiser Council. Upon competition of the beta period, the Sales Comparison Analysis feature will become available to all REALTOR® members. Many REALTORS® will find this feature useful for creating a CMA, BPO or other detailed valuation analysis.

The Sales Comparison Analysis feature is a powerful way to evaluate property using area sales information, and comparable listings to produce a detailed record that can be saved or printed. This feature models the kind of in-depth evaluation that is performed in an appraisal and leverages RPR’s nationwide, parcel-centric database. The Sales Comparison Analysis goes into more detail about the subject property and comparable sales as compared to the RPR Comp Analysis feature, which models a CMA.

Appraiser beta members will see a new second option on the Comps Analysis tab found on the property detail pages. By selecting the new Sales Comparison Analysis option, the user is led through a series of steps to confirm or adjust the factual information about a subject property, and then to search for and select comps. After adjusting and weighting the comparable properties, the user receives a Sales Comparison Analysis Result that summarizes the valuation and range for the subject property. The user can also generate an optional Valuation Workbook, which creates a rich archive of the facts and trends that support the analysis.

Other Version 1.22 Enhancements

Also in version 1.22, all REALTORS® will now see an updated Sales and Financial History chart. The newly enhanced chart offers more detail with clearer labeling, and displays better in the RPR reports. Users will also see new notes fields found throughout the Property Details page. These fields allow REALTORS® to easily make annotations for their own personal use, or allow those notes to be published in the reports they generate.

If you’re interested in training opportunities for the RPR application, head over to the RPR Calendar and review the webinar selection.

RPR is proud to announce the launch of integrated MLS data within the RPR Application for the REALTORS® of the Houston Association of REALTORS® (HAR) this week. HAR executed RPR’s Data Content License Agreement in 2012 following the support of their Board of Directors. This integration will allow HAR’s 24,000 REALTORS® to access their local active and off market listing information within RPR’s member benefit system.

“As a working Realtor, I am looking forward to learning the new RPR system”, says Danny Frank, 2013 HAR Chairman. “I have been working behind the scenes with the RPR team and I’m very excited to see it being implemented at HAR. RPR has some very unique tools that Houston REALTORS® will find helpful with both sellers and buyers. It even has tools for the everyday investor as well. The RPR application brings all the tools you need to one location.”

The RPR Application offers REALTORS® expanded access to valuable property data, on over 150 million parcels of property nationwide, such as foreclosure and pre-foreclosure information, FEMA flood maps, liens, school districts, as well as neighborhood and demographic data. While REALTOR® members of HAR have had access to the RPR system since RPR’s National Launch to all REALTORS® on November 1, 2012, this integration of HAR’s MLS data will now provide enhanced functionality for features such as advanced search, mapping, trending, graphs, and menu of valuable reports, such as Comps Analysis, and Market Reports.

“RPR works best when it is partnered with proactive MLS and Associations such as HAR. Along with the value of the MLS data integration, this market level partnership connects RPR’s resources with communication, support and training systems already created by created by HAR to benefit their members,” says RPR CEO Dale Ross. “This cooperative effort epitomizes the value of REALTOR® organizations working together for the benefit of their members. RPR would like to recognize the leadership and support of CEO HAR Bob Hale, and 2013 Chairman Danny Frank.”

RPR will be offering continue training classes in cooperation with HAR. If you are an HAR member and would like to see which class is best, click here.

The Houston Association of REALTORS® represents over 24,000 REALTORS® in the Greater Houston area. For more information on MLS Partnership markets, click here.

RPR is pleased to announce that it will soon begin offering integrated MLS data to the REALTORS® of the Orlando Regional REALTOR® Association (ORRA) in the RPR Application. The ORRA Board of Directors voted at a recent meeting to execute RPR’s Data Content License Agreement, which will allow RPR to begin offering all REALTOR® members of ORRA the full features and functionality of RPR’s member benefit application.

RPR became available to all REALTORS® in November 2012, offering nationwide access to information on over 150 million properties. For REALTORS® working in the Orlando and Central Florida markets RPR offers increased features and tools when localized MLS data is integrated into RPR’s search, mapping, trending, graphs, and menu of valuable reports. “RPR’s model is to partner with MLSs by adding valuable property data, to the REALTORS® resources in order to create high value reports for agents and brokers to use with their clients and customers when buying or selling property,” says RPR CEO Dale Ross. “RPR is gratified by ORRA’s recognition of RPR’s value to their members, and would like to thank ORRA CEO Michael Kidd, and 2013 President Steve Merchant for their leadership and support.”

ORRA 2013 President Steve Merchant says, “RPR has proven itself as a tremendous resource for REALTORS®. The leadership of ORRA was impressed with the depth of their support and training programs, as well as the enhanced features and property data RPR has added since we reviewed the offering in 2012. We are looking forward to making ORRA’s local listing data available in RPR for the benefit of ORRA’s 8,600+ REALTORS®”

ORRA joins twenty-five additional MLS and Association Partners in Florida, representing over 70,000 REALTORS® throughout the state; who are benefitting from the availability of their local or regional MLS data available with the RPR application.

RPR is pleased to announce the launch of Realtors Property Resource® for the REALTORS® of HiCentral MLS in Hawaii. HiCentral MLS represents 5,700 members and covers Oahu. Although RPR has been available to all REALTORS® since November, 2012, this partnership means REALTORS® of HiCentral will have their MLS data integrated within the RPR application, ensuring they have access to the complete features and tool sets for their REALTOR® members.

“RPR appreciates the support of the leadership of the HiCentral MLS. As a member benefit of the National Association of REALTORS®, RPR’s goal is to provide the highest value tools and features to agents and brokers within the RPR application,” says RPR CEO Dale Ross. ”HiCentral’s decision to partner with RPR allows the most current, local listing information to be added to RPR’s powerful search, comps analysis and reporting features. RPR is looking forward to working with and supporting HiCentral’s REALTOR® members.”

As part of RPR’s market support at launch, multiple events and opportunities for live classes are scheduled in cooperation with MLSs, Associations and Brokerages. For the HiCentral MLS launch, RPR has scheduled 8 live “Intro to RPR” classes beginning April 9th through April 11th. The classes will be focused on teaching the basics of RPR, including a review of RPR’s search and mapping tools, neighborhood and school information, comps analysis, and full suite of reporting. For REALTORS® interested in attending one of these training sessions, you still have time to RSVP here.

RPR also provides ongoing support, daily webinars, and live training delivered though RPR’s network of nationwide Contract Trainers. Topics ranging from RPR Basics, to more advanced classes are covered. View the full training calendar here.

RPR Version Release 1.21

RPR released version 1.21 this week into production. This release includes a variety of enhancements—as well as behind-the-scenes work on the RPR Appraiser Tools, targeted for beta testing in April. RPR also created a fresh homepage, a new look for reports, and new data for the Charts tab on the Property Details pages and across the Neighborhood Details pages. For more information, visit the RPR help desk.

RPR At the Association Executives Institute (AEI)

RPR Staff attended the AEI Conference in San Diego, CA on March 16-19 and was provided the opportunity to promote RPR’s upcoming Association Dashboard development. RPR’s update at the AE luncheon focused on the current work of the volunteer Task Force in creating the features and tools for Associations. RPR also had the opportunity to present the concepts for two new reports.

RPR’s Federal Political Coordinator (FPC) Report: The design of this report will be to leverage the RPR demographic, census, lifestyle, and consumer tapestry data to create congressional district reports for FPC’s to deliver to their Congressperson for their District meetings, branded with the State and Local Associations.

RPR Trade Area Report for Economic Development Corporations (EDC’s): This report will utilize RPR’s existing Commercial Trade Area Analysis functions to assist Association Leadership in providing economic information to regional, county and municipal EDC’s.

The response to RPR’s proposed Legislative Resources was positive.

Catylist Promotes RPR

Catylist announced a partnership with RPR, which involves technology support and efficiencies for CIE’s and Commercial MLSs who elect to execute a Data License Agreement with RPR. RPR has enjoyed a number of such partnerships in its Residential Application, and is pleased to have built a positive relationship with Catylist in order facilitate ease of integration with RPR Commercial and CIE Partners. Future plans are to work on implementations for Single Sign-On, and Deep Linking technologies. This will ultimately benefit all REALTOR® members. For the full Catylist press release, go here.

My RPR

Since RPR’s formation in 2009, RPR has had the goal of extending the power and potential of the RPR Application to NAR’s Industry Constituents: Agents, Brokers, Commercial, Appraisers, MLSs and Associations.

All of these RPR Products have been designed with the assistance of Work Groups, Task Forces and Councils made up of REALTOR® volunteers. This tremendous process assisted RPR in creating a blueprint for the development of valuable features, tools and reports designed to assist REALTORS® with their specific area of focus and expertise.

Recently, through the MyRPR campaign, we have had the opportunity to hear from many REALTORS® throughout the country on how RPR has assisted them with providing value to their customers. We would like to share those MyRPR stories with you, and invite you to discover for yourself how RPR can assist you.

Last night, RPR released version 1.21 of the application. This release included a variety of enhancements including a refreshed homepage, and a new look for the reports. In this release we also completed a large amount of work on the new Appraiser Tool Sets, which will be entering beta in the coming months.

New homepage

We’ve updated the homepage with a new design. REALTORS® that are new to the site will have quick access to creating an account. While existing users will be able to quickly login. Some other items featured on the homepage include the RPR Partners Map, RPR Help Desk and the blog.

New look for reports

Same elegant report, but requiring less ink….that was the focus on this revamp. Now on the RPR reports we’ve introduced a new header with white background. This change will be visible to all REALTORS® using RPR where the MLS or brokerage is not already offering a branded version of RPR. If your RPR reports display your MLS or company logo, you will still see the colored headers as we work to convert these branded versions of the reports.

Read up on these enhancements and more by visiting the version 1.21 release notes in our Help Desk.
