Training Team at Triangle MLS Triples RPR Usage

There’s only one way to capture Christy Robertson’s story and that is to let her tell it in her own words. The RPR Certified Trainer, along with Education Manager Lynne Brid, has contributed to a three-fold increase of RPR usage among Triangle MLS’s 11,000+ members over the past 18 months. Here’s how she does it.

What compelled you to become an RPR Certified Trainer?

I initially learned how to use RPR through the eyes of an agent and knew it was going to be a big win for our members. Yet, being a non-REALTOR® in a REALTOR®’s world, I needed to step up to their level and beyond to earn their trust. They know I won’t waste their valuable time and that I’d only teach tools that I believe in. So, becoming RPR certified demonstrates my commitment. Plus, I now know RPR from the user and instructional sides.

Does it hold certain advantages?

Absolutely. The certification has opened many doors for our educational outreach. People see the RPR badge on our signature lines and ask us to train. Or they hear about us through word of mouth. The certification lends credibility to what we do and is evidenced by our increase in RPR usage, which has tripled over the past 18 months.

Which RPR classes are among member favorites?

Some of our most popular RPR topics include reports, CMAs, maps, schools, neighborhoods, drive time searches and open houses. Now, we’re starting to see more questions about how to use RPR for opportunity zones and foreclosures. We just did a mailing labels class and announced the increase in RPR free labels from 2,000 to 4,000. Winner!

Time. When I finish a class, they always ask for more. They always schedule again.
