Hello! Spring has sprung and RPR has some really nice, new features to debut on April 25th.
This release has a special focus on RPR Commercial improvements with the introduction of the new AI-powered Commercial ScriptWriter. (We’re also improving our mapping research abilities with a data refresh of our commercial POIs (Points of Interest). Spoiler: POIs are also useful for residential research!
Here’s what’s new and noteworthy for April 2024… |
Commercial AI ScriptWriter |
|
|
The Residential Market Trends ScriptWriter has been a huge success. And now we’re introducing its counterpart– the new AI Commercial ScriptWriter! With this helpful tool, commercial users can gain an edge by quickly tailoring insights to match their audience. Whether it’s a pitch outline for a City Planner, a one-pager explaining the area to a prospective tenant, or a deep-dive report for an investor—it's all at their fingertips. The ability to summarize, and share statistics and demographic data will come straight from the Trade Area page.
|
Users begin by selecting the Create Script link on the Trade Area page. Next, they will choose the tone, audience, and data to highlight. They also can select three script options, and when they’re finished, the content can be copied or emailed. - Tone: Professional, Conservative, Engaging or Conversational
- Audience: City Planners, Business Owners/Tenants or Investors and Businesses
- Data: Primary Segment, Income, Housing and/or Population
- Script Options: One-page Summary, Detailed Report or Presentation Online

(Beta) Map POIs (Points of Interest) for Commercial & Residential: |
Our POIs have been pumped up! Map junkies will find that the new POIs will allow them to better narrow their search for specific businesses within an area. This version will be a beta test and RPR will gauge user feedback before the feature is finalized.
RPR has changed our POI provider from Esri to Precisely. This upgrade adds thirteen new categories and seventy-five new sub-categories. This means we will now be offering over 28 million POIs, which is many more than our previous vendor. Note: This release will serve as a beta test. RPR will be evaluating user feedback, then optimizing and finalizing the feature."
|
To see the new POIs, go to Research, then Map Search. From the map, select POIs. The new colorful POI icons will appear on the map as they are selected. To cut down on map confusion, we have hidden the Google map pins from view. Pins are now easier to see and navigate.
Users will also have the ability to hide or show categories of POIs. Categories are collapsible or expandable by clicking the arrow next to each category. RPR users can also select the Save as My Defaults button to save their selections. This will give them the ability to Load My Defaults, which means your saved selections will be selected and the Load My Defaults button will move with you as you scroll.

RPR has introduced some new logic that now determines the correct order of deeds recorded on the same date, with the most recent displaying first. The Listing History and Previous Listings area has also been improved. "Status Date" has replaced "Closed Date" in the Previous Listings option in the Listing History section since not all statuses "close," such as expired, canceled or withdrawn listings.
|
New data! The annual Esri data refresh includes spending data, demographics and lifestyle information. Esri data helps power our Commercial Site Selection tool, federal and local Economic Area Reports, and residential neighborhood statistics. |
