Nicole Nicolay might be a new REALTOR® but she’s been around the industry long enough to know that harnessing razor’s-edge technologies are a surefire way to set yourself apart from the competition. On her way to a friend’s baby shower, Nicole received a call from one of her buyers. A “For Sale” sign had popped up in the yard of a house the buyer thought “could be the one” and she hoped Nicole could show her the property immediately. A self proclaimed “planner,” Nicole likes to be prepared. But in this case, she had set out for a social, rather than work, afternoon and didn’t have her laptop with her. All she had was her phone.
Pulling over to the side of the road, Nicole launched RPR Mobile™ on her smartphone. She quickly pulled up the property and reviewed the MLS notes , including the listing agent’s contact information. “I was able to learn a lot about the house, in a short period of time, just from my phone,” says Nicole. Her client was not only impressed that Nicole could get there almost at a moment’s notice, but that she already knew information on the home. And while her client was looking around, Nicole continued looking at the property in RPR Mobile™ and discovered that the house had been on the market for 45 days and that there have been a couple of price reductions.
With all the property information at her fingertips, Nicole knew this was a great opportunity for her client. Not needing to go back to the office, “I was able to inform her right then and there,” shares Nicole.
